Pick up time at resort upon your request, drive the country side road to Holguin while enjoying the scenery. Start the tour purchasing the voucher for the Cigar Factory at Calixto Garcia square (dedicated to the local hero Calixto Garcia, an important patriot who participated in the Great War of 1868), learn how the cuban cigars are made, discover the different brands.

Go back downtown and optionally visit interesting places such as:

Provincial History Museum “La Periquera”, first built as a warehouse, later on became a house (site of a mysterious love myth), turned into a presidential palace and garrison (this is why earned the nickname La Periquera), nowadays is a museum.

Julio Grave de Peralta square (The Flowers’ square), square dedicated to a local hero, sightsee and learn the cuban history at the mural ‘Origins’.

San Isidoro Church, first church founded in Holguin in 1720. Visit the statue of the departed pope Jean Paul II, a memory left of his visit to Holguin in 1998.

Art Center, an art gallery at one of the corners of Calixto Garcia square, exhibiting local artists’ work.

San José church and San José square, two symbols that have kept its originality.

Natural History Museum, interesting site exhibiting several indigenous species.

Revolution Square, in the outskirts of Holguin rests the historical complex dedicated to the biggest local hero where many speeches have been given.

La Loma de la Cruz lookout (Hill of the Cross), a spectacular view at this lookout from which you can appreciate the entire city.

Throughout the tour the clients can enjoy a lunch break at one of the local restaurants they like and try some typical food and drinks.
